The first major expansion for Back 4 Blood, Tunnels of Terror, will arrive in the coming weeks with new Cleaners and Ridden enemies for players to access. Developer Turtle Rock Studios previously teased Tunnels of Terror in a Back 4 Blood content roadmap that made the rounds in November 2021. While the roadmap offered little in the way of specifics about the upcoming DLC release, it did outline much of what players should expect from updates throughout 2022.
Of course, the crew at Turtle Rock plans on rolling out patches that tackle quality of life adjustments. The studio also intends to enhance the gameplay experience with a new difficulty mode, player cards, and melee-based changes. All of the above and more could go a long way in enticing lapsed players to revisit the cooperative zombie game. Whether or not this year's updates will keep users new and old around long-term remains to be seen, though. Fortunately, the first true proving ground for Back 4 Blood's post-launch DLC offerings is nealry upon us.
