In the run-up to the release of Back 4 Blood at the end of last year, the hype had a lot of fans pretty excited. Originally touted as a spiritual successor to the much missed Left 4 Dead series, Turtle Rock Studios' cooperative zombie shoot-em-up had a lot to live up to, with many hoping it would be a modern take on Valve's classic franchise. Sadly, it fell a little short, and player participation has dropped off since as a result. However, the game is still going and the developer appears to be preparing a new update.
According to a recent tweet from the official Back 4 Blood Twitter account, it looks as though the game will be getting bear traps at some point. There isn't really much information to go on other than an image that says that the trap will deal damage over time, with the tweet itself jokingly insisting that it's only intended for bears. There's no indication when this will be rolling out, but the developer may continue to drip feed little hints.

Since releasing in October, there have been a number of updates to the game. The most recent one was at the start of this month, with a patch for Back 4 Blood that added the option to kick players, improved gameplay, and the ability to draw all 15 cards at the start of a campaign. One of the things that the game tried to implement to make it stand out from its predecessor was the card system. This tweaked gameplay in numerous ways, depending on cards selected, such as granting more stamina or the option to carry more than one grenade.
