Bachelorette: Michelle Shares Message For Fans After Nayte Breakup
The Bachelorette season 18 star Michelle Young shared a message for fans online following her breakup with Nayte Olukoya. Michelle, a 28-year-old educator, felt an instant attraction to Nayte when they met while filming in 2021. Nayte received Michelle's first kiss of the season, the first impression rose and, ultimately, became her fiancé when he proposed at the end of season 18. Fans and Bachelor Nation alumni considered Michelle and Nayte to be a well-matched couple. ABC, which airs The Bachelorette, even gifted Michelle and Nayte a $200,000 check towards their first home during the show's «After The Final Rose» special.
Although Michelle and Nayte continued to enjoy their engagement after The Bachelorette season 18 ended last December, rumors that the duo ended their relationship came as a surprise to fans in May. Michelle, who was unsuspectedly recorded without her engagement ring on, quickly denied that there was trouble in paradise between her and Nayte. In fact, the former Bachelorette couple continued to state that Nayte would be moving to join Michelle in her home state, Minnesota. Just a few weeks later on June 17, however, Michelle and Nayte announced the end of their short relationship in separate Instagram Stories.
