Bachelor: Matt James Sets ‘Personal Record’ After Running Boston Marathon
Former lead of The Bachelor Matt James recently showed that he is more than a reality tv star, as he set a personal record after completing the Boston Marathon in just over three hours and 49 seconds. Season 25 Bachelor Matt looks after his mind and body, which is not surprising, given his history as a sportsman. Matt graduated and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Wake Forest University, for which he played as a wide receiver from 2011 to 2014. Besides being a former athlete, Matt has also spoken about how beneficial running has been for him.
In 2021, Matt revealed that running was a way for him to take care of his mental health. He explained that exercise kept his head in the right place and helped him to deal with everything that had happened in the country during the tumultuous year 2020. Matt did not just talk the talk but also walked the walk as he competed in the New York City Marathon in November 2021 alongside his friend and Bachelor Nationco-star Tyler Cameron. Months after competing at the New York City Marathon, Matt put on his running shoes once more to compete at the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Matt expressed excitement about running the marathon via social media and could not wait to get up and compete. He kept up the hype by showing the stuff he is made of on the marathon day with an exceptional performance. Matt surprised many by completing the marathon in good time, setting a personal record, and earning praise from his friends, family, and loved ones.
