Developer Inti Creates is no stranger to creating retro-styled games that appeal to certain nostalgic gamers. The company was formed by a number of ex-Capcom employees, who would go on to develop titles in the Mega Man franchise, more specifically the Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX subseries. It's no surprise that the developer's flagship IP, Azure Striker Gunvolt, would be considered a spiritual successor in the eyes of fans. The next entry in the series, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, is looking to release this year as well.
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3's announcement took many by surprise with the introduction of a new character known as Kirin. As opposed to series protagonist Gunvolt, who uses his gun to stun and tag onto enemies, Kirin uses a special sword that can also use electricity along with throwing talismans that contain her power. While this game was initially announced as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, the developers also revealed the title would be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X. A recent announcement from Inti Creates notes this game will be arriving on PC this year as well.
Classic Mega Man Battle Network Games Are Coming to PC, PS4, and Switch
In a tweet on Inti Creates' Twitter account, it states that the development of a PC version for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 has begun. According to the tweet, while the Switch version will be arriving on July 28, this PC version will be coming within a targeted Winter release. The game's PC version will be sold through the Steam Storefront, with the required specifications to run the game also listed.
This may not be too surprising to some fans, considering that while Azure Striker Gunvolt started life on the Nintendo 3DS, it got a PC port a few months later that drastically
