The list of achievements for Mundfish’s upcoming atompunk FPS Atomic Heart has been revealed, and, while there’s a lot of fairly standard stuff on offer, there are a handful of particularly interesting accolades that highlight the game’s unique story and setting. Said to be a “way crazier” take on titles such as Doom and Wolfenstein, Atomic Heart certainly looks to be a one-of-a-kind experience, and the list of achievements lends credence to that comparison.
First revealed in 2018,Atomic Heart has come quite a long way since the debut of its initial trailer. Fraught with doubt and uncertainty throughout the development process, the game was beleaguered by setbacks, delays, failed VR spinoffs, and rumors of mismanagement. That said, Mundfish appears to have persevered and is now prepared to offer up an FPS that will, according to the newly-revealed achievements, have players crafting weapons, communing with the dead, and hunting robots while drinking vodka.

Most of Atomic Heart’s achievements seem to be fairly in line with FPS games of a similar scale; trophies can be earned by maxing out skill trees, crafting certain weapons, and progressing through the main campaign. To that end, six specific achievements require the player to kill what are likely major bosses—some of whom have likely appeared in previous Atomic Heart trailers. Some of the stranger achievements ask players to pick apples, talk to dead animals, and run over enemies while driving.

While it’s nice to get a glimpse into the strange world of Atomic Heart ahead of the game’s mid-February release, there are still a few unknowns surrounding the game.
