Koei Tecmo has officially confirmed the release date for the remake of Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg to be July 13. Koei Tecmo and Gust revealed the remake of the first game in the long-running alchemy RPG franchise earlier this month during the Japanese broadcast of February's Nintendo Direct. The remake will feature updated graphics and illustrations along with a variety of new features for the RPG originally released in 1997. Now, fans have a better idea of when they can dive into the franchise's origins.
While the series has been largely niche throughout most of its life, Atelier has seen success across multiple games in recent years. The ongoing Atelier Ryza trilogy has produced the best-selling games in the franchise's 25-year-long history. Ryza's success has also seen the developer revisiting some of the franchise's older titles with Atelier Sophie DX launching in 2021 as a remaster of the 2015 RPG, followed by Atelier Sophie 2 in 2022. Now, Atelier will return to the franchise's introductory game this summer.
