If you’ve ever found yourself sucked out of a deeply historical series like Assassin’s Creed due to its reluctance to adopt the mother tongue of its otherwise meticulously detailed backdrop, then Mirage may just win you back. As part of Gamescom Opening Night Live earlier this week, French publisher Ubisoft showcased a new trailer confirming the title’s “full Arabic voiceover”.
While this feature was announced as far back as last year, this is our first time actually hearing the audio in action. Obviously, it’s hard to speak specifically to the quality of the translation, but it certainly sounds authentic and heightens the 9th Century Baghdad backdrop significantly. I played Unity the second time in French and it was really cool. Obviously that’s cause they’re a French dev so not every setting has that option until now.

I've played all AC games in the language of the country they take place when possible (so mainly the Ezio trilogy and Unity) and I missed the option for Origins and Odyssey.
With this options, it will be even better as I guess the modern parts will still be in English.
