From Software has become best-known for pioneering the Soulsborne genre, but years ago it was a leader in the mech combat genre as well. It returned to its roots this year with Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, offering its familiar tough-but-fair From design to a very different game. If you missed out on Armored Core in this jam-packed year of game releases, good news: now you can get it for cheap for Black Friday.
As part of Gamefly's Black Friday sale, Armored Core 6 is down to just $35. That price goes for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, and is a steep discount from the usual $50. GameFly is a rental company, so its sale games tend to be pre-played. But it offers free shipping, and the pre-played games come with their original cases and inserts, so you'll hardly tell the difference.
Armored Core 6 was hailed in reviews for its gripping combat and deep customization hooks, challenging you to come up with unique mech builds to tackle its many challenges.
