However, we hardly hear about the company’s Fitness+ feature, probably because it has never been associated with a life-changing experience until today. Nate Gorby shares how both additions have transformed his health, helped him lose 100 lbs, and turned him into one happy man.
It turns out that Nate Gorby is actually a 9to5Mac reader, as he shares his journey on Twitter, describing how he used to struggle with his weight, but with sheer perseverance, the Apple Watch and Fitness+ user says that he managed to lose 100 lbs. In the lengthy message, he also states that doctors have informed him that he has surpassed their expectations by months, and he owes it all to the smartwatch and Fitness+ program.
“I wanted to say thank you for everything that you do with the Apple Watch and the Fitness+ service. It has changed so much for me and made me a healthier, happier person over the past several months. Here is my story;
For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with my weight. I was able to diet, and my weight would have the yo-yo effect as a result. Through Fitness+ I was able to discover my passion for cycling, treadmill walking, HITT and even practicing Mindfulness. I found a matched passion with the trainer team teaching me to “know that I am human” and know that showing up is the biggest hurdle most days. So for about year or so, I craved exercising and did it as often as I could. I developed a habit that was changing my entire mindset toward my overall health.”
