Apple has started working on an M3-powered iMac that's scheduled for a launch at the end of 2023, according to a new report. Apple began ditching Intel chips for its in-house silicon in 2020. The company initially used its M1 chips for Macs and MacBooks, and more recently, unveiled the M1-powered iPad Air with a starting price of $599. Meanwhile, the M1 Max and M1 Pro are reserved for the MacBook Pro series. Lastly, the M1 Ultra has only been used on the powerful Mac Studio, which offers workstation-level performance.
