Respawn has released the patch notes for Apex Legends Season 13 ahead of its launch on May 10.
Titled Saviors, the latest season introduces new Legend Newcastle, a major Storm Point map update and a reworked Ranked system, among other features.
Storm Point’s new point of interest is based in and around the carcass of a giant sea monster, while a new PVE minigame involves battling waves of Titanfall Spectres on IMC armouries.
One notable Season 13 update highlighted by Respawn on Monday concerns out of bounds changes. When players go out of bounds, the following will now be deactivated: Legends abilities, weapons, ordinance, survival items, healing items and active passives.

Saviors will also arrive with a new medieval themed Battle Pass, which is the focus of the game’s latest trailer, viewable above.
It includes over 100 unlockable rewards like Legendary skins for Fuse, Bloodhound and the C.A.R. SMG, Epic sets for Pathfinder, Mad Maggie and Newcastle, and reactive skins for the Spitfire LMG.
A Respawn developer recently said the studio could slow down the rate at which new Apex Legends characters are released in the future.
Since the game’s release in 2019, every new season of content has introduced a new playable Legend.
But Respawn senior character designer Devan McGuire told Dexerto the studio may reach a “breaking point” where it’s no longer possible or good for the balance of the game to continue this pattern.
Respawn announced last week that Apex Legends Mobile will be released worldwide this month for Android and iOS devices.
