Besides adding a new character to Apex Legends, the developers have announced several upcoming changes to the weapons pool. While a new gun is not planned to release next season, some significant changes to ground loot are sure to add a new twist to the gameplay experience.

Recently, it was revealed that Apex Legends plans to shake up the availability of some of its weapons in the battle royale mode. According to news from Respawn Entertainment, the Flatline, a heavy ammo AR, and the Longbow DMR, a semi-automatic sniper, are being removed from the ground loot pool. While this means that players will no longer discover these weapons on the ground, they will still be available via Replicators.

It seems that adding the Flatline and Longbow DMR to Replicators is Respawn Entertainment’s attempt to combat an oversaturation of weapons in the ground loot pool. Over the past few seasons, a growing number of players have complained that there are too many guns being added to the game. While moving these popular weapons to Replicators does not remove them from the game entirely, it could make getting this loadout more difficult.
