Respawn Entertainment has soft launched Apex Legends Mobile in 10 countries.
The game is now available for iOS and Android devices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Colombia.
Its limited regional launch was originally due to take place on February 28, but was delayed by a week “due to current world events”.
Users can play Battle Royale on the World’s Edge map, as well as Team Deathmatch, Mini Battle Royale and 3v3 Arenas.
Social features like Clubs are available and players can choose from nine Legends: Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder and Caustic (unlocked at Battle Pass tier 25).
Although the limited regional launch provides players with an early taste of what the full game will offer, account progress and unlocked items earned will be reset ahead of the title’s worldwide release.

The game is being developed by a dedicated team at Respawn in conjunction with Tencent’s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, which is the group of developers behind PUBG Mobile.
“Apex Legends Mobile is specially designed for touchscreens, with streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations that result in the most advanced battle royale combat available on a phone,” according to Respawn. “It’s a new version of Apex Legends, but it’s true to the original.”
