Apex Legends' twelfth season has had its share of ups and downs. On one hand, players were able to get their hands on fresh features such as the new Control mode and the reworked Crypto. On the other hand, the season also introduced yet another underpowered legend by way of Mad Maggie. Before the season draws to a close, however, Defiance is going out with the return of a classic limited-time event.
Flashpoint is a game mode that removes all health and shield restorative items from the loot pool. For players to heal up, they have to avoid taking damage for a set amount of time while in specific areas dotted around the map (which for the Unshackled event happens to be Olympus). Taking control of these points is crucial. In addition to getting shot at by enemy squads, players have to avoid the continuously closing ring. No restorative items mean fights outside the healing areas tend to be quicker; that is unless a squad happens to have either a Lifeline or Wattson on their side.

Lifeline's role as the only healer in Apex Legends makes her a godsend in Flashpoint. Her D.O.C. Heal Drone restores the health of anyone standing near it without the need for syringes, medkits, or phoenix kits. If the healing she provides isn't enough, her Combat Revive passive ability can get squadmates back on their feet quickly.
Lifeline's skills as a combat medic become more potent once she gets her hands on either a level 4 helmet or backpack. The helmet reduces the cooldown of her D.O.C. Heal Drone by 20%, while the backpack allows Lifeline to revive her squadmates with 50 shields and 70 heath — giving them an immediate fighting chance once they get back up.
