Antonio Banderas Is A Government Assassin In Code Name Banshee Trailer
An official trailer has arrived for the upcoming action-thriller Code Name Banshee. Starring Antonio Banderas as Caleb, a former assassin in hiding, the film focuses on his fight for survival after his protégé Banshee (Jamie King) discovers a bounty on his head. Pursing the pair as the deadly mercenary known as Anthony is Sons of Anarchy actor Tommy Flanagan, with Catherine Davis set to portray Caleb’s daughter Hailey.
Now, the official trailer for Code Name Banshee released by Screen Media Films shows Banderas channeling his inner John Wick. Showcasing Banshee’s tense reunion with Caleb, the pair quickly reaches an uneasy alliance in order to protect each other from mortal danger. Introducing a gun-toting Anthony who makes clear his intention to end Caleb’s life, Banshee swears to stop him. Jumping between fight scenes, the pair finds a temporary sanctuary with Caleb’s daughter Hailey, who seems equally prepared to shed blood for her father. Ultimately leading to a guns-blazing showdown, Caleb remarks, “Honestly, I’ve seen worse.” Check out the trailer below:

Directed by Jon Keeyes (The Survivalist, Rogue Hostage) and written by Matthew Rogers (The Survivalist), the new picture is currently unrated though the trailer promises strong violence. Currently enjoying the efforts of a busy year, Banderas is no stranger to the action genre having risen in prominence through major titles like The Mask of Zorro and Desperado. His latest feature comes ahead of his long-awaited return as the voice of Puss in the DreamWorks sequel Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, as well as his upcoming outings in Indiana Jones 5 and The Enforcer.
