My favourite games of all time? In no particular order, here goes…
The Last of Us Part II This game gets an awful lot of flak, but I just don’t get it. Part II takes everything that made the original so beloved and dialled it up to eleven. Fun, engaging combat, a gut punching story and gorgeous presentation make this one my personal favourite game of all time.
Grand Theft Auto V Probably my most played game of all time, GTAV is just so fun to mess about with. Los Santos feels genuinely lived in and alive, there’s always something to do and see, and it has a great campaign. I adore this game.
Resident Evil 4 What’s left to say about RE4 that hasn’t been said a thousand times already? With an eminently replayable campaign, great enemies and bosses, a varied arsenal of weapons and fun, arcade-style gameplay, this game is just an absolute blast.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Not many would rate A Link Between Worlds as their best Zelda, especially since the arrival of BOTW and TOTK, but I certainly do. Great dungeons, freedom in spades and wonderful 3D visuals make this wildly entertaining, plus it has some of the best puzzles Nintendo have (had?) ever created.
Dead Cells I’ve ploughed hundreds of hours into Dead Cells and it still feels fresh every time I play. It’s been generously supported by Motion Twin since launch with near constant free and paid expansions. A wonderful game, this one!
