Luckily, developer Panache Digital Games worked to give us a creative take on what those years could have looked like in Ancestors. Playing as Hominids — the species that will evolve into humans — you'll deal with lots of dangers, some of which can leave you with a condition called Bleeding. In this article, we'll explain how to deal with it.
As the name implies, your Hominid is inflicted with a serious injury that causes them to bleed and take damage over time. If you're attacked by an enemy with claws or talons, you'll start Bleeding which will get worse over time. Without access to modern medicine, Bleeding can prove to be fatal. It's best to treat it quickly as the damage Bleeding does can significantly lower your Life Expectancy.
When you're hit with the Bleeding ailment, you'll get a prompt alerting you of its severity and a recommendation to use "items with clotting properties." Since you're living in the prehistoric wild, you'll need to be resourceful and creative to find such things and apply them effectively to your injury.
To cure your Bleeding, you'll need to find one of the following: Aloe Sap, Honey, Horsetail Leaves, Kapok Fiber, or Mud.
