Among Us VR might be released sometime this year, according to a database that tracks changes in Steam. The VR version of the popular multiplayer game is highly anticipated as it will hopefully immerse players in Among Us gameplay even more.
When it was announced at the Game Awards in 2021 fans were looking forward to what a VR version of the game could look like. With how important a player's surroundings are to the deduction of who might be the imposter, having a first-person focus might make the game even more difficult. It is an exciting prospect to think of what each of the tasks will be like, once the player is completely immersed in their task of connecting wires or following light patterns. There are many different ways that VR will impact gameplay, and fans are excited to experience what this new version of Among Us has to offer.

According to Games Radar, a database that tracks any changes on Steam's backend system, known as SteamDB, shows that the new release date is going to be December 13, 2022. There is a disclaimer on the listing that notes that this might be wrong, as they had originally listed November 10, 2022 as the date, but considering how close the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase is, this database listing might have some weight to it. The showcase is happening on April 20, 2022, at 10 AM PST, and is going to showcase new games coming to the Quest system. It has not been announced what VR systems Among Us VR will be available on, but this showcase might give fans the release date announcement they were hoping for.
