A brand-new gameplay trailer for Among Us VR shows off the virtual reality title's new gameplay features alongside its new Skeld II map. The original version of the mobile social deduction game, created by indie developer Innersloth, tasks some players with repairing a spaceship while others hunt them as shapeshifting alien Impostors. Last year an Among Us VR trailer announced a brand-new and highly-immersive version of the beloved title, which is intended for release this year.
While it was first released in 2018, Among Us received a massive spike in popularity in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The multiplayer title sees most players assume the role of crewmates, who must complete various minigame tasks across the map in order to win the match. Impostors, meanwhile, are visibly identical to crewmates but have the objective of killing other players and avoiding persecution. Among Us VR looks to breathe new life into the beloved game by fully immersing players in its world. A recent Among Us VR gameplay trailer demonstrated how the experience will translate into first-person, and now a number of new features have been revealed for the virtual reality edition of the game.

Among Us VR developer Schell Games (via YouTube) revealed a new gameplay trailer during IGN Summer of Gaming. The video offers a look at how the virtual reality title will adapt minigames, vents, and emergency meetings into a multiplayer VR experience. Players must manually conduct tasks with their hands, for example, and Impostors can traverse vents from a first-person perspective.
