Director Kevin Smith announces that he's writing a new movie, and that he's very excited about it. Smith is known for creating the View Askewniverse, consisting of his films Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and more. Outside of comedy, Smith has also expanded into horror, with movies like Red State, Tusk, and Yoga Hosers.
His latest project, Clerks III, has been in development for some time, but it's rumored to have a 2022 release and will pick up after the events of Clerks II, with the principal cast reprising their roles. Smith's other upcoming film, the comedy-horror anthology Killroy Was Here, is also currently in post-production and set for a 2022 release via an exclusive series of NFTs. Smith is also working on a Masters of the Universe: Revelation follow-up, the original having premiered on Netflix in July 2021.
