Developer Innersloth has just released a new roadmap for Among Us 2022 and the first major feature "coming soon" is a friend's list.
"You'll be able to keep in contact with any Crewmates you get along with or keep tabs on your greatest enemies, I guess?" the blog post read. "We know a ton of you have found some lifelong friends from this game and that's really cool - we want to allow you to keep in touch and continue playing games together!"

Aside from that, Innersloth plans to add more roles, a new Hide'n'Seek mode, mysterious 'collabs', and more cubes. We already know about the Scream collaboration with the new Ghostface Crewmate cosmetic - now you can don the same mask as Billy Loomis, Stu Macher, and 2022's evasive slasher - but what the future collabs will be is unclear. Maybe we'll see Doctor Strange portal into Among Us, eh?
The friend's list will work as it does in most other online games - you can add people you meet in lobbies and then invite them to play with you. Or you can add friends you already know to more easily queue with them, cutting out the need for room codes. What's more, "keep in touch" seems to point to an in-built messenger of sorts, not unlike Town of Salem's.
"You're basically experiencing the building of Among Us and our adjustment to its popularity with us," Innersloth continued. "That being said, confusing you isn't the goal, so making improvements to the UX is also coming up next. Thanks for being patient with us!"
Popularity doesn't begin to cut it. Among Us was the number one downloaded PlayStation game in December and its virality has landed it a one-shot manga feature in Bessatsu Corocoro magazine. But it doesn't end there.
