Amazon has subscribed Prime members with free access to some of the most critically acclaimed and universally beloved Fallout games ever made, including Fallout: New Vegas. However, the offer comes with a catch in that it's tied to the company's cloud gaming service, meaning only Fallout fans from a select few countries will get to take advantage of it.
The promotion itself is geared toward celebrating the release of the Fallout television series. The Amazon-produced TV adaptation debuted to predominantly positive reviews on April 10.
A day later, the company opted to commemorate the occasion by expanding its Prime Gaming offerings to include Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. While the subscription service often distributes game store codes, this particular promotion only allows members to access the included games via Luna, Amazon's cloud gaming service. Fallout 3 and New Vegas will be free for Luna users until October 2024. The six-month window of opportunity to play them will naturally only be open to Prime members in Luna-supported countries: the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Following this move, Amazon subscribers are currently able to play up to four entries in the iconic franchise at no extra cost; Fallout 76 is also available as a free Prime Gaming game for April 2024 starting today, while Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel has been free to claim since late March. The 2001 strategy RPG is distributed via GOG, while Fallout 76 is available to Prime members in the form of either an Xbox or Microsoft Store code. Unlike Fallout 3 and New Vegas, both Fallout Tactics and Fallout 76 are free to keep forever.
