Prime Gaming has announced the next batch of freebies for Amazon Prime subscribers, and it's going to be another big month. Amazon Prime members will be able to claim a whopping 15 free games throughout May 2023. As always, there will also be free loot for popular multiplayer games such as Overwatch 2 and League of Legends.
The giveaways kick off on May 4, which is very fitting considering Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D is leading the pack. May 4 is, of course, Star Wars Day. If you aren't too busy playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you could celebrate the holiday by revisiting one of the classic dogfighting games in the franchise. Originally released in 1998, Rogue Squadron 3D pits the Rebels against the Empire in a post-Death-Star world. You play as Luke Skywalker himself and can battle in five different vehicles, including X-wings and snowspeeders.
Rogue Squadron isn't the only classic you can check out next month. Planescape Torment's Enhanced Edition and Samurai Shodown IV will be up for grabs. Planescape Torment is certainly worth playing if you're an RPG fan. The Enhanced Edition's quality-of-life improvements help make it a solid time investment all these years later. Meanwhile, Samurai Shodown IV is a classic SNK fighting game that originally released in arcades back in 1996.
The 15 free games will be released in groups every Thursday throughout the month. Here's the full list:
You get to keep every free game you claim from Prime Gaming--even if your Prime subscription expires.
Outside of the free games to download, Prime Gaming members can also stream several games each month via Amazon Luna's Prime Gaming Channel. May's streamable games include Lego DC Super-Villains, Resident Evil 2, Overcooked, and Frog Island.
