Amazon is back for round two with Prime Big Deal Days, a second savings event for Prime members. Here's what you need to know ahead of the company's next big sales event.
It's a bit of a mouthful, but Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon's second Prime Day in 2023. Like the first round in July, Prime Big Deal Days offers steep discounts for members of Amazon Prime. Though some products will be on sale for non-Prime members, this is primarily an event for Prime members and a chance for Amazon to increase its membership numbers.
The sales officially start on on Oct. 10 at 3 a.m. EDT and run through Oct. 11. But keep an eye on Amazon's website, as the company often offers early deals in the lead-up to Prime Day.
Prime costs $139 per year or $14.99 per month. Amazon offers a 30-day free trial for new members, so you can sign up, take advantage of Prime Big Deal Days and cancel your membership. But if you anticipate needing free shipping and quick delivery over the holidays, it may be best to hold on to that membership. (Here's a full rundown of what you get from Prime.)
Based on last year’s experience, there will be a lot of deals geared toward Prime members, including exclusive discounts, both in amount and/or availability, daily flash deals with limited stock, and offerings for subscription services, both free and heavily discounted.
Naturally, Amazon’s own brands will be on sale as well, making this the best time to shop if you’re looking for a new Roomba robot vaccum (Amazon acquired iRobot last year), Blink home security, Echo smart home speakers, Kindle eReaders, and the like. Amazon will also be sending personalized deal alerts based on your recent searches to ensure that you don’t miss out on anything from your shopping
