Companies have been price matching to compete with others for decades, and that's no different with Amazon adopting the same discounts for the games featured in Best Buy's 10 Games 10 Days 10 Dollars promotion. This promotion is reducing the cost of a popular modern game for one day across 10 days, but these limits may be less imposing than going to a Best Buy for Amazon users.
Call of Duty: Vanguard kicked off Best Buy's 10 Games 10 Days 10 Dollars promotion and Amazon is already on board with the same $10 price for the second game, Nioh 2. With today's Amazon gaming deal price-matching Best Buy's promotion, it may continue the mimicking with the remaining eight titles which have yet to be confirmed by either company. Players that haven't tried the Nioh series will also be able to catch up with the first title which is less than $12 on Amazon as well, making it possible for players to acquire both titles in the series for less than $30.
Amazon Prime Gaming Reveals Free Games for August 2022
Today's Best Buy 10 Games 10 Days 10 Dollars deal is for Nioh 2, and each day revolves around its own game, leaving gamers with only a day to discover which game it is and decide if it's worth the purchase. Given the enormity of Amazon in retail and e-commerce, this price-matching may expose these games to even more players than Best Buy would have otherwise attracted on its own. PlayStation fans may be further enticed by today's deal because if they buy the PS4 version of Nioh 2 at Amazon or Best Buy, they will see a free next-gen update when they play it on a PS5, making upgrading a simpler experience than with other titles.
