The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will house major upgrades on the inside and the design. The 'Pro' models are expected to come in a brand-new titanium finish with upgraded camera hardware for enhanced photo and video-taking capabilities. It was previously reported that with major upgrades on the horizon, the iPhone 15 Pro models will launch with a higher price tag than the current models. Now, it is being reported that the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to feature a minor price increase as well.
The iPhone 15 and iPHone 15 Plus will use the Dynamic Island technology on the front as the current models which will take the handsets a step closer to the 'Pro' models. Furthermore, the camera hardware will be upgraded as well. While it will be significantly better than the iPhone 14, the camera will still be inferior to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro. Nonetheless, the decent upgrade is more than a welcome addition to the standard models. With these changes and upgrades in sight, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg states in his latest Power On newsletter that users should expect 'minor' price increases on all four models of the iPhone 15.
Before today's report, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models were reported to be priced higher than the current models. The iPhone 15 Pro models will come in a new grade 5 titanium finish which is one reason the price of the handset will be higher. Another major reason for the price hike is the upgraded camera hardware. Ultimately, the price increase would lead to higher profit margins for the company.
