Halo Infinite'smultiplayer had what many would describe as a fairly rocky launch. In terms of gameplay, the game fared well, yet it was in the realms of cosmetics and the online marketplace that angered Halo Infinite players most. From overpriced armor sets to released cosmetics that had design flaws, Halo Infinite players have brought up many issues with developer 343 since the multiplayer beta first became available. 343 has since changed the way Halo Infinite's online marketplace works, though fans are still looking for more multiplayer changes.
Something else that fans found to be lacking in Halo Infinite's multiplayer was a distinct lack of game modes. With some classic modes such as Grifball and Infection missing from the game for quite some time, it has many believing the game to be stale. With the extension of season one of Halo Infinite's multiplayer as well, it seemed that it may be some time before new content that wasn't another cosmetic pack was brought into the game. Recent leaks though, could prove otherwise.
Halo Infinite Dev Gives Update on Co-Op and Forge
The first rumblings of a Halo Infinite Forge mode were brought about in October of 2021, after a leak suggested that the mode would be incredibly deep and detailed. Forge is one of the most popular gameplay modes in Halo history, as it allows fans to create their own maps and game types, allowing for near endless creativity and replayability. With the creation of obstacle courses, unique game modes and more through Forge, it would certainly bring about some freshness to Halo Infinite's multiplayer.
