The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues with the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the pop culture powerhouse franchise will continue with 11 new movies and several upcoming TV shows. Doctor Strange 2 will delve further into the multiverse-spanning adventures of the MCU’s heroes, as well as feature the welcome return of director Sam Raimi to Marvel’s movies after his celebrated Spider-Man trilogy. Even with the Infinity Saga concluded, the MCU continues to introduce new heroes and new threats in its upcoming properties, showing that the franchise continues to be a major player in the cinematic landscape.
In addition to continuing the stories of its well-established Infinity Saga heroes, the MCU will also release films based on new Marvel properties. The Fantastic Four and X-Men, both beloved Marvel comic series, will soon make their MCU debuts, due to Disney’s acquisition of their parent company, 20th Century Fox. With Doctor Strange 2 unleashing the multiverse, some of these properties might enter the franchise due to different realities melding.

Since 2021, the MCU has also found success on television, with all future MCU shows being aired on the streaming service Disney+. The shows’ events are as meaningful as the films, with lore, character arcs, and plot points from the MCU’s Disney+ shows tying into the films, as shown in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2.
