Though set outside of the games' mythology, Lance Reddick wants Milla Jovovich's Alice to return for Resident Evil season 2. The series is based on Capcom's video games of the same name and centers on Billie and Jade, the half-twin daughters of Albert Wesker, as they move to New Raccoon City in South Africa with their father, as he continues his work with the Umbrella Corporation. Resident Evil also follows Jade 14 years into the future, in which the T-virus has again destroyed the world, as she tries to find a way to restore the world while dealing with the demons from her past.
Ella Balinska leads the cast of Resident Evil as adult Jade alongside Lance Reddick as Wesker, Tamara Smart as younger Jade, Siena Agudong as younger Billie, Adeline Rudolph as older Billie and Paola Núñez as Evelyn Marcus, daughter to Umbrella founder James and new owner of the company. The Netflix series was developed by Supernatural vet Andrew Dabb with Constantin Film, the studio behind the Resident Evil movies, producing alongside Netflix and Moonlighting Films. Resident Evil is finally making its way to Netflix and one star is already looking to what the future can hold for the series.
