With Alan Wake 2 now mere days away from launch, Remedy Entertainment is beginning to gear up for its arrival by sharing new details on its release. Having recently revealed its exact global release timings, the developer has now also shared the survival horror sequel’s full PC requirements.
Remedy has revealed specs across six setups, three each with and without ray tracing enabled, and even on the lowest specs, the requirements are far from straightforward. On the lowest settings without ray tracing enabled, to run the game at 1080p and 30 FPS, you’ll need either a GeForce RTX 2060 or a Radeon RX 6600 (with 6 GB VRAM), along with an i5-7600K or an AMD equivalent processor.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, to run the game at 4K and 60 FPS, with path tracing enabled and ray tracing cranked up to high, you’ll need a GeForce RTX 4080 (with 16 GB of VRAM), and either a Ryzen 7 3700X or an Intel equivalent processor.
Regardless of which setup you’re running the game on, across the board, you’re also going to need an SSD, roughly 90 GB of free storage, and 16 GB of RAM. You can check out the full system requirements below.
Alan Wake 2 launches on October 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Get more details on the game in our recent interview with game director Kyle Rowley through here.
