Remedy Entertainment finally dropped a new trailer and release date for Alan Wake 2 at the recent PlayStation Showcase. It’s out on October 17th, and while the trailer looked pretty good, those seeking more gameplay should tune into the Summer Game Fest.
Geoff Keighley confirmed raw gameplay for the showcase, with creative director Sam Lake appearing on stage with the host. The trailer hinted at a creepy location that newcomer Saga Anderson explores, so we’ll probably see more of that.
Time will tell, but so far,Alan Wake 2 joins the likes of Mortal Kombat 1 and Lies of P for Summer Game Fest. The show will run for two hours with three to four “pretty big announcements.” It airs on June 8th, so stay tuned for live coverage when it goes live.
As for Alan Wake 2, it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. It will only have a digital release, with the Standard Edition costing $60 on consoles and $50 on PC.
