Gameforge has released part 1 of their roadmap for AION Classic EU. Their latest YouTube video highlights some of the changes coming and renews the team’s commitment to expanding the world of AION via their classic servers. Among the highlights is the return of the Wildcard PvP event, now revamped based on player feedback and a host of new events and challenges.
The first half of 2025 is brimming with excitement for AION Classic players looking for some new challenges. The Wildcare PvP event will let players select a skill from another class, adding an unpredictable and twist to PvP battles. The team also outlined the Deathbringer event which challenges players to rack up impressive kill counts for rewards that go beyond bragging rights, giving PvP enthusiasts something new to strive for out there on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Atreia and Tahabata servers are set to merge, creating a brand-new server to foster a more active community. The change aims to enhance matchmaking and ensure that players can always find companions or rivals to team up with or challenge for the various PvE and PvP game modes.
Following the server merges will be a Class Change Event which will provide an opportunity to allow players to permanently swap classes. If you've ever believe the grass to be greener on the other side of your class, here's your chance to make that swap guilt free. Later in 2025, there will be April festivities that will double up on rewards as both Easter and the AION Classic's second anniversary celebration will coincide. Keep an eye out for numerous limited time events such as to tournaments, community events, and the chance to snag plenty of valuable loot during April.
You'll also want to keep an eye out for Update 3.7, hot off the heels of 3.0 released last year, which will introduce two fresh dungeons, powerful new items, and a host of quality-of-life improvements to the game. It'll be one of the biggest updates the game has had thus far. Hopefully Gameforge
