Capcom confirmed earlier this week that Street Fighter 6 had attracted one million players, and it’s since followed up with confirmation that the critically acclaimed sequel has now sold one million copies. With one million players under its belt, it was always likely the title was close to selling one million copies to consumers anyway, but now we have confirmation.

However, the positive word of mouth surrounding the latest and greatest instalment is likely to have a big impact, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it passed a few more major milestones over the coming months.
As previously reported, Street Fighter series sales are now over 50 million, which is impressive. The publisher says that it’s committed to the release moving forwards, and we’re sure we’ll learn more about its live service plans for the title – including its first DLC content – during next week’s scheduled Capcom Showcase.
