Affliction Warlock in the War Within
Affliction Warlock has received a good bit of changes heading into The War Within, many focusing on Quality of Life and rotational fluidity. This has been supplemented further by the introduction of Hero Talents, Soul Harvester and Hellcaller specifically for Affliction, which will will break down today.
Hero Talent Showdown: Soul Harvester vs. Hellcaller
Soul Harvester
Weaknesses
Soul Harvester really does not change your rotation very much. You are able to cast Malefic Rapture a bit more often outside of your Rapture windows, due to Soul Rot providing 3 Shards when cast. This can lead to a higher tier set uptime and a more consistent damage profile overall. Sadly, you aren't able to really «feel» the effects of Soul Harvester as much as you can when playing Hellcaller.
Hellcaller
Weaknesses
Hellcaller and its abilities can be felt more rotationally than Soul Harvester, and that stems from Malevolence being the Hero Talent capstone. The ability provides a bit of Haste, increases Wither stack count, does a bit of initial damage AND also increases Wither stack count whenever you spend Soul
