While you might associate 120fps with PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5, a growing number of mobile games now support this lofty frame rate. Wild Rift, Grimvalor, Pokémon GO, and Genshin Impact are just a few of these titles.
And now, Aether Gazer is joining in the fun on Android. 120fps support dropped as part of its latest update on September 4, which introduced the next story batch of story, Chapter 10: Shadow Under Convallaria.
Curiously, developer Yostar didn’t advertise the new feature. You’d imagine that would be a feature that the team would be keen to show off, but evidently not.
It’s also worth noting that it will only be available for certain devices, but, without detailed patch notes, I can’t speculate on the level of power you would need. Instead, you will have to go in the game to see if it works on your device.
To turn it on, head into settings, tap display, and tick the ‘120’ option. If you’re unable to tick it, then it probably isn’t supported on your device.
Aether Gazer is a gacha RPG that takes place in a dystopian future. You recruit a series of characters, place them into a party, and battle through a storyline.
The story is pretty dark. To escape the horrors of future Earth, which is riddled with war, humanity has uploaded its consciousness to Gaea, an AI world that orbits Earth.
To keep everyone happy, the world is divided into ten different zones, which each cater to a different culture and belief system. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?
Well, as it turns out, viruses are threatening to destroy this utopia. So, it’s up to you to try and save it by battling them. That’s pretty much what you do throughout your time in Aether Gazer.
