Dead Cells will be getting a native PS5 version later this month.
As announced on developer Motion Twin’s official Twitter account, the PS5 version will available on June 29, and will also include a free upgrade for those who already own the PS4 version.
One of the main features of the PS5 version will be the way it makes full use of the PS5 DualSense controller’s unique features.
“Use haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, audio feedback and lighting to take your runs to the next level,” the studio said.
The digital PS5 version will arrive ahead of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition, a physical version of the game and its DLC set to be released on August 11.
The physical title will be distributed by Signature Edition and will also be “available from major retailers”.
As well as a physical copy of Dead Cells on Switch, PS4 or PS5, it also includes the four original DLC expansions released for the game – Rise of the Giant, The Bad Seed, Fatal Falls and The Queen and the Sea.
It also adds Return to Castlevania, the crossover DLC which was released in March and included characters, weapons and enemies from Konami‘s long-running action platformer series.
