The last episode focuses deeply on the drama aspect of the story. It’s not bad, but it’s not that good either. Sure, it certainly helps with the overall progression of the story, but for fans that love the hilarious comedy that were presented in the earlier episodes, episode 8 was not a fun episode to watch. A balance between the comedy and drama is certainly needed.
Now we come to episode 9. While it won’t be a “make it or break it” episode for the series, it will still be an episode that would set the fans’ expectations from here on out. However, judging from the trend of this series that loves to alternate between total drama and total comedies every several episodes, it is highly likely that this one will be the opposite of episode 8.
A Couple of Cuckoos Episode 8 Review — Why So Serious?
In episode 8 of A Couple of Cuckoos, we see Sachi decide to live in the same house as Nagi and Erika. She said the reason was because their house was still under renovation, so she had to live in a small apartment with her parents, which was certainly not an ideal environment to study. Moving out to a bigger house with her brother and sister seemed like a logical thing to do.
Erika was overjoyed because she finally got to spend more time with her long-lost sister. Nagi, on the other hand, was furious with her sudden decision. He promised their parents to force Sachi to be back home by the following morning. However, when he heard about the real reason why Sachi decided to move in with them, Nagi can’t help but soften up and let Sachi stay to live together with them.
