Activision is planning to give away a significant number of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 beta codes next week.
To be in with a chance of winning a code, players will need to watch the Call of Duty League Championship on August 7.
Anyone who physically attends Championship Sunday at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California will also receive a Modern Warfare 2 beta code.
Activision recently confirmed that all Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders come with early access to the game’s beta, which will be available on PlayStation consoles at least five days earlier than any other platform.
While a release date hasn’t been announced, it was claimed earlier this month that the Modern Warfare 2 open beta will launch in mid-September.

According to an insider with a good track record for Modern Warfare 2 leaks, PS4 and PS5 players who pre-order the game will receive early access to the beta from September 15-16, before it’s opened up to all PlayStation users from September 17-19.
A cross-play test for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC will then be available to pre-order customers from September 22-23, before being made available to all players from September 24-26, it has been claimed.
Another reliable insider, Tom Henderson, claimed on Monday that the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer reveal will take place at the beginning of September, ahead of the game’s beta in mid-late September.
Activision has confirmed a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date of October 28, 2022.
