Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta to kick off next month; PlayStation to get it first- check schedule here

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to arrive on October 28 for PC and consoles, however, the beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will arrive next month, giving players an early sneak peek. The PlayStation players will get access first, and after that it will arrive on Xbox and PC. The news has been announced by Infinity Ward at the CDL Champs (Call of Duty League Championship) tournament.

The first early access beta will be rolled out on September 16th to 17th for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players who pre-ordered the game followed by the open beta for all PlayStation players starting from September 18th to Sept. 20th. However, the crossplay beta for players who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC will take place on September 22 and 23. Each session will reportedly begin at 1PM ET. The Modern Warfare 2 open beta release will be divided into different sections. Here are all the dates and start-times.

1. PlayStation Early Access - September 16th at 10am PT

2. PlayStation Open Beta starts- Sunday, September 18th at 10am PT

3. Weekend 1 beta ends- Tuesday, September 20th (Likely)

1. Early Access starts- Thursday, September 22nd at 10am PT

2. Open Beta (all platforms) availability- Saturday, September 24th at 10am PT

3. Open Beta - Monday, September 26th

Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to 2019's Modern Warfare- the reboots of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games. The game will cost $70 on all platforms. As per the reports, Infinity Ward is likely to reveal a lot more about the upcoming game at its Call of Duty: Next event scheduled to take place on September 15th.
