Several 90 Day Fiancé stars have had amazing weight loss journeys in the past, but a few cast members were thin-shamed despite their hard work. One former cast member, Tiffany Franco, dropped 70 pounds after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in June 2021. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans appreciated her fitness journey and showered her with positive messages of encouragement.
Another TLC star who has received praise for her weight loss is Ariela Weinberg. When the fans first met the New Jersey native, she was seven months pregnant and was later struggling to lose the baby weight. However, Ariela surprised fans by quickly dropping her pregnancy weight. She gave credit to breastfeeding and weight training for her full-body transformation.

Similar to Tiffany, social media users appreciated Ariela's hard work, and they have done the same for other stars like Brittany Banks, Colt Johnson, and David Toborowsky. However, a few cast members have received the short end of the stick when it comes to fan appreciation.
56-year-old grandmother Angela Deem made her debut on reality TV during 90 Day Fiancé season 7. A few years after her debut, fans were shocked when she opted for weight loss surgery and dropped most of her body weight in such a short time. She also opted for multiple cosmetic procedures, such as breast reduction. After all the surgeries, 90 Day Fiancé fans saw someone they didn't recognize anymore. Since Angela's mean behavior already earned her a lot of criticism from viewers, most fans never praised her transformation. Instead, they dismissed her weight loss by calling her unhealthy.
