Over 10 years in the making, The Fun Pimps’ open world survival horror game 7 Days to Die has finally exited early access, coinciding with the release of its 1.0 game update.
The developer released an official blog update giving a full rundown of the 1.0 patch notes and highlighting a number upcoming key dates as well as sharing a roadmap for what comes next.
A number of these key dates are marked tentative but upcoming in July, the developer will delist the Legacy Console Game from digital storefronts (July 15), release stable versions of 1.0 on Steam and Microsoft PC (July 25), and release the Console Edition of 1.0 (July 25). PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners who owned the Legacy Digital versions of the game on PS4 and Xbox One Telltale Edition will receive a 25% discount on the new version of the game.
Looking further down the line to Q4 2024, the developer plans to rework the game’s weather system and biome progression, add a wardrobe system, and implement cross play and random generation for consoles.
Beyond that, 2025 includes two major updates, one slated for Q2 and one for Q4. These updates will add bandits, a UI overhaul, event systems, an overhaul for traders, a story mode, and more.
