For those that don't know, Slime Rancher is one of the most wholesome games out there. You play as Beatrix, a rancher on a far-off planet, spending their days corralling smiling Slimes and making your fortune on the Plort market.

Slime Rancher has won over so many players with its laid-back and addictive gameplay, and it's not hard to see why. In fact, Slime Rancher2 is coming this year, too — so it is important to remember which Slimes helped players the most. This particular list is based on a few things: cuteness and appearance, Plort prices, and availability. Largos are not included here as they aren't singular Slimes, and Gold Slimes are also omitted due to the fact they are so rare.
Let's start with a classic: the Pink Slime. It is the first friend that players meet in the game, and is a bountiful option for farming. These bouncy boys are ideal for creating Largos with different Slime Plorts, but on their own, they are a great money-making option in the early game as they require no special features on a corral.
Pink Plorts are used in crafting recipes, which is good as they're so easy to come by. These guys eat everything and anything, too, so keeping them fed won't be an issue.
Next up is the jazzy-looking Crystal Slimes. They're essentially the fancy big brother to the Rock Slimes but can bring in much more of a profit. They are vegetarians and have a special love for Odd Onions. Crystal Slimes won't be available immediately, as they are in an area behind at least one locked door.
