Actor jokingly called out the Oscars for not nominating his 2024 documentary Will & Harper in the Best Documentary Feature category.
The film, which features Ferrell and his close friend Harper Steele, focuses on the duo taking a cross-country tour in a car and showcasing their bond of 30 years.
Will & Harper debuted on Netflix on September 27, 2024, just a few days after a limited theatrical release. Will Ferrell appeared on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show on February 3, where he shared his reaction to Will & Harper not receiving an Oscar nomination.
Just as the actor sat on the couch, Colbert started praising the documentary and the strong bond between Will Ferrell and Harper Steele.
In response, Ferrell said, “Ask me if we got Oscar-nominated,” prompting the host to further laud the movie before finally asking the question.
