Your Name’s ending wraps up a beautiful and emotional story, but one that can also cause some headscratchers due to its time travel storyline. In Your Name, a 2016 production from CoMix Wave Films, audiences are introduced to Taki and Mitsuha, two high school students who seem to have a strong bond even though they do not know each other. Your Name claimed $358 million at the box office, which currently places it third in the list of highest-grossing Japanese movies of all time, only behind Studio Ghibli’sSpirited Away (2001) and Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train. Despite being a relatively new movie, Your Name is already regarded by many as one of the best anime movies of all time, along with all-time classics like Akira and Ghost in The Shell.
