Warning! Spoilers ahead for Young Sheldon season 5.
Young Sheldon explains the real reason why Georgie becomes a successful businessman in The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) big brother was the last Cooper family member to physically appear on the nerd-centric show because of his falling out with the socially-challenged genius. When George (Lance Barber) died, he took care of Mary and Missy (Raegan Revord) while Sheldon was oblivious to all of their problems. Young Sheldon is currently a couple of years away from that tragedy, but it has long been setting up Georgie's The Big Bang Theory future.
