Young Sheldon Hints At Season 5 Finale Mary/Rob Twist

CBS' Young Sheldon is hinting at a season 5 finale plot twist regarding Mary (Zoe Perry) and Pastor Rob's (Dan Byrd) budding relationship. After the initial wave of shock within the Cooper family about Georgie's (Montana Jordan) situation as a young expecting father, the clan tries to move forward with the secret. However, all of them just couldn't keep their lips sealed about it. To deal with the situation, everyone tattled on Georgie. For Mary, she decided to open up about it to Pastor Rob.
For years, The Big Bang Theory prequel has maintained its core cast. Young Sheldon introduced Rob in season 5. Starting out as a Youth Pastor, the arrival of Byrd’s character almost caused a major problem as Missy (Raegan Revord) and Mary both developed a crush on him. Their respective secrets haven't come out yet. While Missy may have already moved on from her attraction to him, Mary's relationship with Rob seems to only deepen — but she needs to be extra cautious of him.

Per the official synopsis for Young Sheldon season 5 finale, Mary and George (Lance Barber) will be forced to find new jobs. While Sheldon's (Iain Armitage) dad has been having work woes for a while now, there hasn't been any mention that Mary is dealing with the same issue. If Mary loses her job, there are two possible reasons why. Firstly, Rob tattled about her secret regarding Georgie’s Young Sheldon situation.
