Melanie Lynskey, star of Showtime's hit mystery-horror-thriller series Yellowjackets, reveals how her fellow castmates defended her after she was body-shamed by a member of the crew. Set in both 1996 and 2021, the series follows the lives of a high school soccer team after they experience a disastrous plane crash on their way to a national tournament. Yellowjackets boasts quite the impressive cast. Lynskey, who plays the discontented stay-at-home mom Shauna, is joined by Christina Ricci as manipulative geriatric nurse Misty; Tawny Cypress as New Jersey state senate candidate Taissa; and Juliette Lewis as recovering alcoholic Natalie. Thanks in part to this stellar line-up, the show has received extensive critical praise since it first aired in November, and as a result has been successfully renewed for season 2 by Showtime. Following the season 1 finale on Sunday, Yellowjackets fans have now been granted answers to many burning questions, but also left with a good deal more set-up for future seasons.
