Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox will attend Gamescom 2024 with the "biggest booth" to date.
Yesterday, like previous years, Sony seemingly confirmed that PlayStation will be skipping the annual gaming event in Germany. Back in April of this year, Nintendo already confirmed that it won't be attending the event either.
Luckily for fans, however, Xbox will be present during the event this August, and according to the official Xbox X account, the Xbox team will have the "biggest booth yet". While additional details about Microsoft's presence during the event will likely be shared later on, we already got a glimpse of which games will be present: "Just a few you can expect to see: Age of Mythology: Retold, Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, Diablo Immortal, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Towerborne & World of Warcraft: The War Within. More to come!", the official Xbox account wrote on X.
We also received an official press release from Blizzard about its presence as part of Xbox during the event. “We are incredibly excited to bring Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch to our European community at gamescom,” said Johanna Faries, President of Blizzard Entertainment. “It’s wonderful to be able to travel to Cologne alongside some of our talented developers so that we can gather with players and celebrate the special connections that continue to be forged within our universes together.”
Interestingly enough, last week, known Xbox Insider Parris Lilly already claimed that, following the amazing Xbox showcase earlier this month, the Xbox team had a lot more to show. In addition, the insider said that Microsoft's Xbox Gamescom 2024 will be "big".
