Xbox Game Studios Reveals 14 Playable Steam Deck Games (& 4 That Won't)
screenrant.comA Steam post from Xbox Game Studios confirms that 14 first-party games work with Steam Deck, while four titles, in particular, are not compatible at all. Following its launch on February 25, Valve's Steam Deck already supports over 1,000 games marked as either Verified or Playable. The Verified tag denotes an experience that's immediately ready to play and requires little to no additional functionality adjustments. On the other hand, titles labeled as Playable may function on the Steam Deck but demand extra effort to configure. For example, some Playable games may display non-Steam Deck controller glyphs.
Steam Deck owners have quite the catalog of compatible games at their disposal, with classics such as DOOM II and Portal 2 appearing on the list of functional titles. More recent experiences like Twelve Minutes and FromSoftware's Elden Ring work on the handheld, as well. Even a couple of PlayStation hits, namely Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition andGod of War (2018), can be played on the go now. Of course, a slew of Xbox's first-party games also appear on the list of compatible Steam Deck titles.

Today, Xbox Game Studios took to Steam to confirm a list of Xbox experiences that work on the Steam Deck. Of the 14 compatible titles, eight bear the Verified label and include the following: Battletoads, Deathloop, Fallout Shelter, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Max: Curse of the Brotherhood, Prey, Psychonauts 2, and The Evil Within. Games marked as Playable include: Fallout 4, Forza Horizon 4, Forza Horizon 5, Quantum Break, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition.
